1. Project Overview:
Xi'an Railway Station North Squareand surrounding municipal supporting projectsLocated south of the world cultural heritage Danfeng Gate, north of the newly built north station building, adjacent to the Longhai Railway Line, east of Jianqiang Road, west of Taihua South Road, and adjacent to the underpass section of Ziqiang Road. This project is directly connected to Metro Lines 4 and 7. It is a crucial "bridge-building operation" in the heart of Xi'an, an important practice to improve the traffic organization, tourism services, and regional commercial functions in this area, promoting the integrated "station-city" concept, and a major opportunity for the revitalization of the ancient city.
This project is divided into two parts: the north square and the Ziqiang East Road underpass tunnel.
North Square: Approximately 1000 meters long from east to west, approximately 140 meters wide from north to south, with a total area of 140,900 square meters. 1 floor above ground, 3 floors underground. The ground floor is a plaza, and the underground is divided into three floors. The negative first floor mainly serves passengers entering the train station, with a drop-off area for small cars and a bus hub; the negative second floor mainly serves passengers leaving the train station, with a transfer hall, taxi parking area, taxi pick-up area, and social vehicle parking lot; the negative third floor is used as a social vehicle parking lot.
Underpass Tunnel: The east-west underpass is 1687.2m long,with a planned road red line width of 60 meters, a level of urban main road, a design speed of 50 km/h, and an underpass design passing under the north square of the train station. The main line of the underpass has two-way four lanes and emergency parking lanes.
2. Project Scope:
(1) Water Supply and Drainage Engineering
Including domestic water supply system, domestic drainage system, sewage lifting system, and rainwater system.
(2) Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineering
Including multi-unit air conditioning system, ventilation system, and smoke exhaust system.
(3) Electrical Engineering
Including power distribution system, power system, lighting system, lightning protection and grounding system.
(4) Fire Protection Engineering
Includingindoor fire hydrant system, automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing system, and gas fire extinguishing system.
(5) Intelligent Engineering
Including integrated wiring system (network and Tel), wireless intercom system, video surveillance system, public broadcasting system, intelligent guidance and management system, parking management system, intelligent bus electronic station display system, and fire automatic alarm and fire linkage system.

3. Current Construction Progress:
This project's municipal section(Ziqiang Road underpass tunnel)and building construction section(Railway Station North Square) were put into operation on May 31, 2021.，Three months after operation, the project has been running normally, and the project is currently in the warranty and settlement stage.
4. Project Highlights:
Since March this year, installation work has entered a period of intensive work. All project personnel have worked hard and made a full sprint. In the 140,000-square-meter construction site of the north square of the railway station, which is about 2 kilometers long, a 50-person project management team and a 1,600-worker construction team worked 24 hours a day without interruption, completing more than 100 million yuan worth of output in one month! After three months of non-stop sprinting by all personnel, the "430" and "531" construction nodes were finally conquered and delivered on time!
